Employers Can Deliver Needed Mental Health Resources Directly to Employees With Nobu
FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (November 8, 2021) — In response to growing demand for more mental health resources and expanded access to care, Advanced Recovery Systems has partnered with Conner Strong & Buckelew to include Nobu as part of their comprehensive platform of services.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, workers’ need for mental health resources became even more urgent.
- 75% of workers reported experiencing mental health symptoms during the pandemic.
- Nearly 1 in 5 people who contracted COVID-19 later developed a psychiatric disorder, such as anxiety, depression or insomnia.
- Approximately 33% of U.S. counties have no records of licensed psychologists and 77% had “severe shortages” of psychiatrists and other behavioral health providers.
Additionally, 74% of workers say they expect employers to provide mental health resources. Nobu is a way for employers to offer their employees high quality, evidence-based mental health support through daily guidance and a suite of free tools developed by physicians and mental health experts using evidence-based principles such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness and meditation to provide effective relief for mental health symptoms.
“Employers are looking for real solutions in the behavioral space to support their workforce,” explained Joe DiBella, Sr. Partner, National Benefits Practice Leader at Conner Strong & Buckelew. “We have seen a number of such tools but Nobu is the best platform on the market to support the growing and complex needs of consumers in this space. Nobu is second to none and we’re delighted to bring the solution to our clients and their plan members.”
Employees in need of more support can also schedule and attend online therapy sessions with a licensed mental health professional through the app, and/or communicate with their therapist through a confidential messages feature. Like traditional in-person therapy, costs associated with working with a Nobu teletherapist may be covered by insurance.
Nobu is a secure, stigma-free platform that is fully HIPAA-compliant and supplements current HR programs and employee assistance programs (EAPs). For more information on Nobu, its features and how employers can use Nobu to support employees’ mental wellness, schedule a meeting with Advanced Recovery Systems Vice President of Corporate Development, Josh Gold.
Nobu is available now in the Apple App Store, Google Play and at Nobu.ai.
